1st post

I was told to post something here about me. So:

I'm Clarice Ferguson. I'm 15. I'm purple. I also hate my fucking parents for dumping me here on 4 hours notice. I also hate them for making me stay in the house for nearly three months!!

For my own protection they said. Well, bah! Fuck that! Then they send me here! Which, I suppose is better, at least there seem to be grounds and whatnot. But still, online shopping is LAME.

Please tell me there is something salvagable here? swords maybe? I fence foil and sabre. A dance team (not that I expect to compete, but anyways) - SOMETHING?

also, where are my roommates? I see 2 beds and no people...

Welcome to the mansion, Clarice - I'm Shinobi Shaw. 18, if it matters. Sadly not purple - it's one of my favorite colors.

There are some swords floating around, but I don't know if there's a fencing class.. that could be pretty fun, actually. Alison (Blaire) teaches a music class, though, and I know a few people here dance, but again, not sure if there's a team..

Welcome Ms. Ferguson!

I am Elisabeth Braddock and will be one of your teachers this upcoming term. I cannot excuse your family's behavior, but it is in the past and one must move forward from such things.

Now, if memory serves me correctly, your roommates are Marie-Ange and Rahne. Both lovely girls and I'm sure you'll enjoy their company.

I do apologize for the nature of the school. Everyone has been running around with last minute preparations for Christmas and the semi-formal.

Oh yes, and we do have a fencing room. Though, you'll need someone to assess your level before letting you romp around in there on your own.

From this moment on, Xavier's will be your home away from home, Clarice. Here's to new beginnings.

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Ms Braddock,

there's a fencing room!? Where????

...and there's a semi-formal? is it mandatory?

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
hi! hope you don't turn purple, it's hell to match your clothes with ;)

we need a fencing class. or at least I need to keep practicing, I was on my school's team before I was kicked out, it's great fun! Well, sabre welts aren't much fun, but they are great for grossing your classmates out.

[identity profile] x-foliate.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
Hey Clarice!

Your roomies are probably, as Ms. Braddock said, doing the crazy last minutes holiday thing. It's really exactly the same as every day here, but with more pine scented freshness.

Come find me if they don't show up soon. I'm one of the blonde gals in the elf outfit. No, this is not part of my mutation, more what happens when people take advantage of your kindness and it goes TERRIBLY WRONG.

Anyway, there is plenty to do here, I promise. Don't listen to Sarah when she pops in here. ;)

(teasing, Sarah)

Do you happen to ride?

[identity profile] x-foliate.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah.

Postscript: I'm Paige. :D

hi Paige!

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
elf costume? do I want to know?

I'm unpacking for the moment, my stuff is smushied b/c I didn't get time to pack. I'm also trying to find out what I forgot, but I'll wander down in a little bit. of course, I'm not sure I'll be able to get back to my room if I leave it.

Re: hi Paige!

[identity profile] x-foliate.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, don't worry, we have really sweet people who double as tourguides somewhere in the building.

If not, there's also me. I could bring you back. :)

And bring an iron for your smushied stuff!

[identity profile] x-psylocke.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
As much work has been put into it, I would personally like for you to attend. And no, it isn't mandatory. Though it may give you an idea of what you've gotten into. Especially, who you're classmates will be, at least most of them.

Fencing room, hmmm. Now where did I see it last?

[identity profile] x-kitten.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
Another dancer? Welcome! Al and Kurt were teaching dancing this last term, although I don't know if they'll keep it up, and I go to lessons in the local village every Saturday. Er, if you're purple that might be hard for you, but Al or Kurt or Dr. McCoy might be willing to lend you an image inducer if you really want and ask nicely.

Hi, I'm Kitty, welcome!

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, welcome. I'm Jamie. You will undoubtedly see me around very soon, and if it's in two places at once, don't worry, you're not insane, that's just what I do. ;)

Sorry to hear about your parents . . . having to stay in the house sucks, I know the feeling. Did you use the time wisely and get very good at video games, at least?

And don't worry about the purple, we have blue people and green people already, you'll fit right in. :)

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
image-whatsis? I can go out again!?!?

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Mario is my bitch. so is Link. unfortunantly, they decided to stay in my closet and not move here with me. Please tell me there is a NES or SNES somewhere, here?

[identity profile] x-sanfuaiyaa.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Hello, Clarice, I am Shiro. I am well versed in the use of both the bokken and katana. If you are interested in a spar, I would be more than happy to oblige.

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
is it at the school or somewhere else?
also, do I have to wear a dress? I don't think I have one, but I can probably find something.

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
I dunno about an SNES, but there's PS2s, X-boxes, and Gamecubes floating around. At least one of each in the rec room.

Plus Dr. McCoy's got this really impressive box in the basement that I'm pretty sure can play anything you stick into it up to and including Pong on punch-cards. And there's a bunch of PC games on the school server. You're pretty much set. :)

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
I've never used those, I know french-style foil and sabre (the kind used in the civil war but designed to actually be functional).

My mom is sending me my gear though in a couple days so I can bout once it gets here, but I don't have my own foil or sabre, only a jacket, mask, and glove. My parents were talking about getting me my own foil and sabre this Xmas but I don't think that they are anymore.

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
PONG!!! *squee* I am an oldschool gamer, I don't play anything after Sega.

I say this like I'm cool or something, but in reality, the game controllers outsmart me ;)

[identity profile] x-sanfuaiyaa.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
I am not familiar with those styles, but that should not prevent us from competing anyway. Sarah and I fought hand-to-hand not too long ago, and our styles are very different, yet it was still a lot of fun.

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, well, we'll have to get you into Remedial Second-Generation Console Gaming 101, stat. :) We'll just skip the N64, though, that was an experiment in all-inclusive controller design gone horribly, horribly wrong, unless you have at least three hands.

Which I can do, but it's the principle of the thing.

Playstation controllers are pretty simple, though, and if you can type and use a mouse you can get the hang of most PC games. We'll have you gaming in the right century in no time.

Hey, who are you rooming with?

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 02:46 am (UTC)(link)

sounds good :) do you use martial arts while you spar? because fencing is a sport, not designed (anymore) to be useful.

[identity profile] x-sanfuaiyaa.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. I combine karate and other forms of fighting when I fight with my katana, and kendo is a martial art in and of itself. But as far as I know, kendo is akin to European fencing, so it would be an appropriate match against your style.

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
I like yahoo games. popcap is awesome.

I'm rooming with some girls named Rahne and Maire-Ange...at least I think I am. haven't met them yet.

[identity profile] x-psylocke.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
It is within the school and I'll show you where when you've gotten settled.

Nevermind me, I do enjoy teasing the newcomers.

Oh, and we can arrange for you to wear something. Since you might not have had the time to claim your dress clothes from home.

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 03:10 am (UTC)(link)

okay! :) I'm sure I can come up with something!
