Puddings don't have to be sentient to be dangerous. Is it a black pudding? :)

Jamie, you know there is food called black pudding, right?

Re: ...

Ye gods. Does it eat away at your insides with deadly acid?

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2004-04-19 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Only if you eat too much of it and have a lot of coffee at the same time.

I wanted to try to get Jubilee to eat one, but she refused.

You should have offered to eat a corn dog in return.

*snicker* I am so taking you people to the Kansas state fair one of these years. You'd get carpal tunnel from doing your ew hands the entire time. :)

Deep-fried Twinkies, anybody?

And Pronto Pups are the best corn dogs in the world, in my completely unbiased opinion.

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2004-04-19 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Unfair. I stopped the ew hands about three weeks ago, because I like my decent grade in Speech!

I would try a deep-fried Twinkie.

Re: ...

Seriously?

I'm finding a recipe. Lorna, do we have a deep fat fryer?

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2004-04-19 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Seriously.

I just thing hotdogs are icky to begin with. One in corn is ickier.

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2004-04-19 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Your loss. I'm definitely making you one of those Twinkies if we've got the gear, though.

If we don't already, I'm sure Doc McCoy could whomp something up to try "novel and intriguing methods of consuming the most superlative of all comestibles, i.e., the Twinkie". :)

Stealing my laptop to Dr. McCoy impressions is cute. ;)

Oh, ew!

Jamie, that's just...ew. You're not deep-frying Twinkies in my kitchen. Or Oreos.

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2004-04-20 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Aww, but they're good. Really. You dust them with powdered sugar and there's this four-berry sauce and . . . okay, yeah, if you eat more than one you get a little erpy, but that's why they cost three dollars!

Darn. Oh, well, I'll just go pitch it to Doc McCoy then.

Ew.

The calorie count on a single bite could sustain a child for a week.

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2004-04-20 05:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Could not. They're only about four hundred some calories per Twinkie.

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com 2004-04-20 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
and zero redeeming nutritional value.

plus over 30 grams of fat.

I stand by my ew.

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2004-04-20 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
It's state fair food. Expecting nutritional value in state fair food is like . . .

Y'know, it's a commentary on our lives that I can't immediately think of something that impossible. :)

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com 2004-04-20 05:58 pm (UTC)(link)
State fair food isn't.

(It's more of a commentary that I don't dare suggest something for fear that it will land on our doorstep tomorrow and wave a claw at us.)

Re: ...

....ew.

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2004-04-19 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
it was chocolate. because chocolate is of the strong.

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-cypher.livejournal.com 2004-04-19 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
And then there's gelatinous cubes, which masquerade as Jello... :)

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2004-04-19 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
And green slime, which masquerades as . . . I think it was supposed to be mustard? at my old school. That was one of the good things about switching to homeschooling and then coming here.

and the radioactive ones with marshmallow.

perversion of good sugar!
