long update b/c I have little comp time

my grandmother died. I knew this was going to happen, she was old and not doing well. I don't think it's quite hit me yet that she's GONE...as in never coming back and not just away for a vacation. so yeah. family was really surprised I showed up and WASN'T purple. Ooops, sorry, I'll save the scandal for another time, pardon me for caring!!!
My grandmother didn't really have a will, but I asked for her sewing machine, serger and any other sewing-stuff she might have and no one argued it - I have a SERGER!!! happiness is.
my mom has also decided that I must stay home and be social with her for this week and I get to be with my father next week, stupid custody agreements. I am going to see Harry Potter if I have to kill someone. I stopped by my old high school and visited my fencing coach. Told him a bit about the school, he said we went to state for fencing this past year, took home third in women's epee and first in men's foil. Wish I had been there, but I don't think I'd've traded Xavier's for it.
My dad told me I'm getting the katana (he promised me one back in March) and a bokken for my birthday. So...Shiro, can you teach me kendo (sp?) or do I need to find someone else?
oh yeah...one more thing, my mom wanted to know what's been going on at school recently since I was so tired and cranky when I got home. I couldn't think of a decent lie so I told her we had an attack of the skippy's. She thought I was lying, but let the matter drop. I guess the truth is stranger than fiction.
