he's innocent?!?!

that's just WRONG! I hate American justice sometimes - all you need is money (which he doesn't even have technically but he has fame so it counts).

So, you're saying that you know better than a court of law about who's innocent and guilty? I must have missed the part about you being a lawyer, a trained investigator, or an eyewitness.

Or is it that someone who's weird and outlandish HAS to be guilty of a crime? I expected better out of you.

If it's a crime to be a freak, why aren't you in jail, now?

The same should be said for you.

And not once did Clarice use the word "freak" or anything to that effect. Feeling a bit defensive for freaks, are you?

Or that people in high places have the contacts who can pull the right strings to get even the guiltiest of criminals acquitted. So much for justice.

What? That I'm a freak? That I should be in jail? Could you please work on that lucidity thing; I know it's hard, what with lending Clarice the collective brain cell every so often, but think of how much more amusing you would be to me.

On the subject of freaks, I don't think you should talk; your neverending (and never funny) vitriol notwithstanding, aren't you the one who walked around charbroiled for a while because you couldn't control yourself properly?

Oh, well, if I could serve as a source of amusement for you, then I certainly must oblige. If I cared enough, that is. And I'm sure that my lack of clarity will greatly disappoint you, and for that I apologize. Truly.

I always wonder if you will surprise me with a burst of intelligence; and I am always sincerely pleased to find that you never do. Ah, continuity.

no - none of the above.

more like I watched the trial on court tv and came to my own conclusions. that's all. I mean, we can still have our own opinions here and disagree if we want to. my opinion doesn't change anything.

and y'know, it's not like both my parents aren't lawyers or anything like that either.

thank you Shiro!

although his lack of nose is kinda weird. but that's not really here or there.

You can indeed have your opinion, glitterbug.

However, a cautionary remark - remember the section in my class on media and crime? News coverage is rarely unskewed, especially in the area of criminal coverage - there's all sorts of agendas to take into account. Just something to take into account when you're making your conclusions, hon.

Far too much plastic surgery. The guy has serious mental issues.

I didn't watch the media coverage though, just the court tv coverage, which is still somewhat biased but it is hard to skew things when they aren't providing commentary or anything and just filming the trial as it happens.

I just feel so bad for his kids. even if he is innocent of child molestation, he is seriously not right in the head.

only in america can a poor black boy become a rich white woman.

*nods* They choose which parts to film - I can guarantee they didn't televise every second of what happened in court. And cameras also don't get to read printed material handed up as evidence.

Agreed. However, being not right in the head isn't a criminal offence. I daresay there will be a lot of scrutiny into the lives of those kids, even with the innocent verdict - there's been too much coverage of what is a very unusual lifestyle, and it's obvious those children will need support.

I know it's all circumstantial evidence and all, but there is way too damn much of it.

guh.
Even that innocent verdict will haunt you for the rest of your life. Guilty or not, Jackson will never get out from under the stigmata of having gone to trial for child molestation. Add that on top of the fact that his career has been pretty much dead since the early 90's?

He's through.
