so I realized a minute ago that Kyle didn't know I wasn't always purple. and then I thought maybe others didn't know either. And Forge said he couldn't image me NOT purple...which is I guess a compliment. so here's some pics I found, one from when I was 11 and the other from when I was 13. guess which one is the bad dye job! this is why I quit dying my hair!

It wasn't supposed to be a compliment, but - well, there's nothing wrong with it at all. Besides, why should we keep looking at ourselves in terms of what humanity sees as "normal"?

becauseI was a cute kid! and am now cuter still.

a year ago, I would've disagreed, wanting to be normal. Now? those were then, this is now. I like now, mostly. but back then wasn't terrible. no worse than now, really. I just didn't know it.

Why want to be like the 'normal' people? Normal people can't teleport across a state, fly, read minds, walk through walls, or lift cars with their brain. We should be enjoying our things that make us different, not mourning them.

The red's... definitely there, isn't it? It's not the worst dye job I've ever seen - you remember mine when I got here? Dull black with the blonde roots growing through something awful? - but it's definitely not the best. And you know what? I like you better purple. *grins* You just don't seem you any other way.

Remember what I said that night I did the glamour for you when we went clubbing, way back when? About not letting other people shape how you look if you don't want them to? Guess what? You've made it.
