conversations with my boss that start with - "hi, I'm in Scotland so I'll be a few minutes late to work, okay?" will invariably end up with me in his office trying to explain WHY I was in Scotland in the first place and him shaking his head muttering about why he was stuck with "strange mutant girls."

(I told him I went for the shopping. maybe next time I should think of a better cover...)

fortunantly, this is my first time late, so I wasn't in trouble.
